This tutorial was written by me, VCC, on Nov 16, 2025 using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp, AS, and is written in PSPX.

 

 

This is a simple, fast, easy animated text tutorial. 

You can add elements to it if you would like, but

I left it as is.

Christmas Wish Calligraphy

 

  Abbreviations:

DS_Drop Shadow

ANL_Add New Layer

EC_Eye Candy

GG_Gradient Glow

AS_Animation Shop

C/P_Copy and Paste

FF_Flood Fill

Ctrl+A_Select All

Ctrl+C_Copy

Ctrl+V_Paste

Ctrl+D_De-select

Ctrl+E_Paste Into Selected Frame/s

 

Open blank, White 700 x 300 canvas

Text tool: Candystriper_size: 125_Foreground: #ff0000_Background closed_Stroke:2
Type out "CHRISTMAS
Use nodes to adjust to canvas size (I mad mine a little taller)
Convert to raster
Duplicate
Magic wand_select outside the text
Expand by 2

Invert
Highlight bottom White layer_Promote Selection To Layer
Select none
Move this layer between the two text layers
Bottom text layer_DS_2-5-50-5-Black
Top text layer_Duplicate twice
Hide 2nd and 3rd layers for now
Highlight top text layer_DSBFlux_Bright Noise_80
Highlight 2nd text layer_Repeat noise, clicking "MIX" once
Repeat for 3rd text layer
Now, on each noise layer: Adjust_Add/Remove Noise_Random 35 (adds that extra little sparkle)
Be sure you actually hit apply, then go back into noise for each layer. You
cannot do the Ctrl+Y because it will not work right.

Type out "Merry" and palce as shown

Name_Deraga_30_#ff0000
Repeat DS
Animate as usual
