FTU Animated "Winter Window"


Winter Window

 



This tutorial was written by me on November 29, 2016 using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX6.

Supplies:

"Birthday Girl5" (currently a free tube) tube by Eugene Rzhevskii - tube/license available at PicsForDesign

"Winter" FTU scrap kit by WaterLO Project - this kit is part of the Waterlo Project - Singing Vivaldi



Snow animation of choice

 

Filters:

None

 

Fonts:

Symphony Script - personal use

 

Abbreviations:

DS_Drop Shadow

ANL_Add New Layer

EC_Eye Candy

GG_Gradient Glow

AS_Animation Shop

C/P_Copy and Paste

FF_Flood Fill

 

 

First, we need to remove the background from our animation:

Open animation in AS

Select All
Copy

PSP
Paste As new Image

Effects_Transparency_Elimante White

Now we have to put some White back into the image, LOL

Selection Tool_Point To Point

Select parts of image that needs to be White, being fairly precise around the pages, hats, and fluff balls (mine looked like this:)


 

ANL below animations

FF selected area White

Select none

Duplicate White layer so there is one for each original animation layer

Merge 1 White layer with 1 animated layer

Save as a psp file

(Alternatively, and the way I did it: After FF the White selected area, select none. Close all but the top animated layer

Copy Merged

AS

Paste As New Animation

PSP

Close top animated layer Open next one down

AS

Paste After Current Frame

Repeat until all frames have been carried over

View animation to be sure it looks right)

 

TAG

 

Open White 600x600 canvas

C/P element (11)

Free Rotate_Right 90

Resize so it fits nicely on tag

Magic Wand

Click inside frame

Expand by 5

ANL below frame

C/P paper (pap) into selection

Select none

C/P ONE layer of your cleaned animation, erasing the colored music notes that are in the open

Selection Tool_Rectangle

Select a portion of the top of the frame:


 

Promote Selection To Layer

Select none

Move promoted frame part to the middle of the frame

Adjust the position of the animation so it looks nice thru the window

Merge animation down to the (pap) layer

 

C/P (42), duplicating, re-sizing, mirroring, and placing below frame as shown

C/P (8) placing at middle top of frame

C/P (41) placing under bow

Duplicate_Mirror_place under bow

C/P (23)

Free Rotate Right 90

Re-size and place under between (41) and the bow

Duplicate_Mirror_place as shown

C/P (5) placing as shown

C/P (31)

Free Rotate_Right 90

Place at bottom of pillow stack

C/P (3)

Place re-size and place under frame in the top left corner

Duplicate

Mirror

Move beside the previous icicle layer

Repeat across frame

Merge icicle layers together

C/P tube

DS frame pieces, elements, and tube_10_10_34_15_Black

ANL to bottom of tag

Select All

C/P pap (7) into selection

Select none

Apply mask

Duplicate

Merge Down

Duplicate

Flip

Free Rotate_Right 90

Position so it shows nicely around back of tag

Add all correct copyright/license information

Name_ Symphony Script - personal use_100_ #ff0000

ANIMATING

 

Copy merged (pap) layer

AS

Paste As New Animation

Duplicate to 10 layers

Select All

Open your saved, cleaned animation file in AS

Select All

Copy

Highlight the last frame

Paste After Current Frame

Repeat

Delete frames 11 and 12 (my snow animation only has 10 frames)

Select ALL

Copy

Click on Merged (pap) image

Paste Into Selected Frame aligning this with the animation already on your image

Click left mouse when you have it lined up

Click on top of snow animation

Select All

Copy

Click on top of Merged (pap) image

Paste Into Selected Frame

PSP

Close all layers EXCEPT White background, masks, merged (pap) layers

Copy Merged

AS
Paste As New Animation

Duplicate to 10 frames

Select All

Copy animated merged pap image

Paste Into Select Frame on the background image, aligning the merged pap layer edges

PSP

Open all closed layers and close all open layers (leave White background closed)

Copy Merged

AS
Paste As New Animation

Copy

AS Toolbar_Click "Propagate Paste" button (looks like 3 pages of paper)

Click on top of tag back image

Paste Into Selected Frame

View Animation

If happy, save!!

FTU - Lucky Me Facebook Banner

Supplies:

Eye Candy 4000_Gradient Glow
Font_Good Vibrations ROB

Abbreviations:
EC = Eye Candy
GG = Gradient Glow
DS = Drop Shadow
C/P = Copy and Paste
FF = Flood Fill
ANL = Add New Layer
AS = Animation Shop


~*~*~* Note: When positioning your elements/tube, remember that your profile picture on personal Facebook accounts will cover the lower left corner area of your banner (Group banners, however, will show completely) ~*~*~*

~*~*~* Facebook does not allow URL’s on banners/headers
Most artist/license company’s now allow you to leave the URL off Facebook banners, but please check the TOU of the artist/store you are using first to be sure ~*~*~*


Open blank 850x320 canvas for personal header or 800x250 for group header
ANL_duplicate for  4 layers
Select all
Bottom Layer_C/P paper 1 into selection…
Next layer up_FF Black
Next layer up_C/P paper 4 into selection
Next layer up_C/P paper 2 into selection
With top paper layer highlighted_Contract by 5_Delete
Highlight paper 2 layer_Contract 3_Delete
Highlight Black layer_contract by 2_Delete_Select none
C/P Stars1_position in the top right side of top frame layer_Duplicate_Flip_Duplicate_position in middle_Merge star layers together
Duplicate_Mirror
Duplicate_Free rotate right 90
Move to top left corner of frame_Repeat the duplicate/mirror until the top edge is covered
Merge these layers_Duplicate_Flip
Merge all 4 star frame layers together (should have stars going around the dark green frame)
C/P tube_move to right side of canvas
C/P the following elements, positioning as shown:
Stardust
Bow
Pot Of Gold
Rainbow
Font_Good Vibrations ROB_100_Black_type out your name_Convert to raster
EC 4000_GG_3_25_50_#00ca00
Sharpen
C/P Horse shoe charm_position on name so it “hangs” from a letter
Erase part of the latch so it looks like it’s attached to the letter
C/P Clover Charm 1
With Clover Charm highlighted, click “D” to get your raster deform tool
Using the nodes, rotate the charm, keeping the eye ring lined up with the eye ring of the horse shoe until it looks good to you
Sharpen
Erase parts of the Clover’s eye ring so it looks like it is attached to the horseshoe
Frame layers_DS each layer_0_0_100_10_Black
Name_DS_2_-5_30_10_Black
All other layers_DS_0_0_50_10_Black
Add all correct copyright/license information
