This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX6.

 

Supplies:

"Cyborg Alma With Doll" (AC Image link) tube by Carlos Diez - Sadly, Mr.Diez is not currently selling psp tubes that I know of

Mask 1 by Brutal Designs

Word Art/Saying of choice

 

Filters:

Eye Candy 5_Impact

Xero_Porcelain

 

Fonts:

French Vogue

 

Abbreviations:

DS_Drop Shadow

ANL_Add New Layer

EC_Eye Candy

GG_Gradient Glow

AS_Animation Shop

C/P_Copy and Paste

FF_Flood Fill

 

Open blank 600x600 canvas

C/P you tube

Pre-set Shape_Oval_stroke 10 White_fill closed

Draw an oval to the size that looks good with your tube

Select All_Float_De-Float

EC5_Impact_Chrome_City setting but change the Bevel Width to 15

Select None

Do Not Delete Vector layer_we will need it again shortly

Magic Wand_Select inside frame

ANL below frame

C/P tube close up positioning in mirror

Selections_Invert_Delete on tube close up_Select None

Blend Mode_Overlay

Xero_Porcelain_Default

Position top tube to your liking

Repeat Porcelain

Repeat DS

ANL to bottom of canvas

Apply Mask

Use nodes to pull sides in so the loops are close to mirror frame

Add Word Art/Saying of choice

Duplicate

Merge down

Add all correct copyright/license information

Name_French Vogue_72_Black

Hover mouse over middle of mirror frame edge until the a with an arc under it shows

Type your name

Convert to raster

Move to the outer edge of frame (see mine)

"Young Teacher" tube by Chris DeLara - this tube was purchased when Ms. DeLara was selling at UYA. I am not sure where she is selling now, so please use a suitable replacement if you don't have this tube.

"Primary School" FTU scrap kit by Kate of Irish Princess Designs (formerly Irish Bitches Designs)

Mask 20/20

Open a blank 600x600 canvas

Select All

C/P paper 1 into selection

Select none

Apply mask

Repeat mask

 

C/P bus element placing to the left bottom of mask area

Draw a small star under the number 12

Convert to raster

Duplicate 3 times

Place 1 star beside the numbers 3, 6, and 9

 

C/P palette image (I know this is not normally used in the tag itself, but, hey, I needed a rug, LOL)

Rotate right 90

Adjust_Blur_Gaussian 10

Effects_Art Media_Brush Strokes_4_142_11_17_10_25_102_#808080

Using pick tool, hold down the shift button and drag the top corners inward

Now drag the bottom corners outward

Repeat until you have what looks like a rug lying on the floor

 

C/P: Scissors, Books 1, 2, 3, Desk placing all as shown

Rotate slightly left and place in corner of frame

Select frame area and delete unwanted heart parts

C/P Doodle – mirror – flip

Duplicate – mirror – flip

C/P flowers, placing them and a heart as shown

C/P border into corner of frame

Fonts: "Mister Belvedere Upper" (Checking In) and "First Grader-Normal" (name)

Mask of choice – I used Becky_Mask023

Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

To save time, I use these abbreviations:

C/P = copy and paste

DS = drop shadow

In psp, open a new blank image 600x400

Type out your saying using Mister Belvedere_120_Black – use nodes to stretch it out and make it taller

Convert to raster

Effects – Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow_3_25_100_#6a9e10

Adjust – Sharpen – Sharpen More

Duplicate

On duplicate, DS_2_-5_50_5_Black

Right click original word layer – Merge – Merge Down

Copy each individual tube and paste as a new layer onto canvas.

Resize each and sharpen

Place to your liking – I did mine as it is in the original picture

Repeat same DS

Using selection tool, select a portion of the trees and sky on the original image that came with the tubes (if using a different tube, you may not have this, but a stock photo, scrap paper, or flood filling will work just fine

Copy this selection

On working image, add a new layer to bottom

Selections – Select All

C/P your image into selection

Select none

Open mask in psp

Layers – New Mask Layer – From Image – click your mask in drop down list

Right click mask layer – Merge – Merge Group

Add all correct copyright information

Add name – First Grader-Normal_72_#6a9e10

Use nodes to rotate slightly

Convert to raster

Effects – Eye Candy 400 – Gradient Glow_3_25_100_Black

Adjust – Sharpen – Sharpen More

DS_2_-5_50_5_Black

That’s it!!
