This tutorial was written by me on July 02, 2012, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

Supplies:

“Afro” tube by OliviaBruno available at indie-Zine

Film strip pre-set shape

Stars pre-set shape

Font of choice – I used Dot to Dot

Mask of choice – mine is Becky_Mask009

Xero – Fritillary

Abbreviations:

EC = Eye Candy

GG = Gradient Glow

DS = Drop Shadow

C/P = Copy and Paste

FF = Flood Fill

Start with a 600x600 blank canvas

Make a gradient using 2 colors from tube_angle_45_no repeats

Add new layer

FF with gradient

Apply mask and merge group

Foreground Black, background nil, stroke 2

Draw out a film strip on canvas

Convert to raster

Repeat following steps for each opening:

Select first opening – expand by 1

C/P tube and position a portion to show in opening

Promote to layer

Select none

After you fill all 6 openings, hide full size tube and merge the tube layers together

Select outside black frame with magic wand – Invert

Add new layer below frame and images and FF white

Select none

Now select all 6 openings – expand by 1

Highlight white layer and FF selections with coordinating color (#cd9869)

Effects – Texture Effects – Fur – Default settings

Select none

Change blend mode of tube selections to multiply

Highlight black frame

EC 4000 – GG_3_25_100_White

Merge black film, tube image layer, white/fur layer together

Duplicate – Mirror – Rotate and place as shown

Draw out some stars_no stroke and black fill

Convert to raster

Select them all

Add new layer – FF with colors of choice (#fdf6b0, #febddb, #fedc8f, #fbf07e, #fad3e4)

Duplicate, resize, mirror, flip and position

Add noise_34 to stars and mask layer

Un-hide tube and bring to top

Duplicate

On original, Gaussian Blur_10

Xero – Fritillary_5_30_10_17

Move blur/fritillary layer below frames

C/P word art and apply the following GG_3_25_100_colors as shown:
 

DS everything_0_0_100_10_Black

Add all correct copyright/license information

Add name_Dot to Dot_72_Black

GG_3_25_100_#febddb

Sharpen

DS
