FTU Tutorial "African Dreams"*


African Dreams





 

This tutorial was written by me on July 01, 2012, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

As always, tutorials are only a guideline. If you don't have the exact supplies, use ones you have or ones you choose.



Supplies:

Please do not use this same image without the proper license
PTU scrap kit, “African Dreams” by Nurmis Design available at Wilma4Ever
“African” word art by me below – click image, then save the full size one
“Africa” cluster frame freebie by me – click image, then save the full size one
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Font of choice – I used “Before the Rain”
WSL_Mask260 by Weescotslass Creations

 
 

Abbreviations:
EC = Eye Candy
GG = Gradient Glow
DS = Drop Shadow
C/P = Copy and Paste
FF = Flood Fill





Open frame in PSP
Select the frame squares
C/P image as new layer, positioning so parts you want showing are seen in openings
Promote selection to layer
Add new layer to bottom of canvas
FF with a matching color (I used paper 10 from the kit)
Open mask in psp
New Mask Layer – From Image – find your mask
Merge group
C/P word art as top layer
EC 4000 – GG_3_25_100_#7a6d28
DS_0_0_100_10_White
Repeat GG on the frame (I had the psp image from making the frame, so was able to add GG to each layer. Mine will look different than yours)
DS Frame_0_0_100_10_Black
Add all copyright/license information
Add name_Before the Rain_120_Black
Repeat GG
Sharpen More
Repeat DS
Save and enjoy!!
