This tutorial was written by me on November 28, 2016 using my own ideas.

Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX6.

 

Supplies:

"Candy Cane" tubeby Monika Jasnauskaite - tube/license currently available at ADI

 

Filters:

Mura's Meister_Copies_Tiling (angle) and Feedback (linear)

Simple_Pizza Slice Mirror

 

Fonts:

Raavi

RaptureHeavenly

 

Abbreviations:

DS_Drop Shadow

ANL_Add New Layer

EC_Eye Candy

GG_Gradient Glow

AS_Animation Shop

C/P_Copy and Paste

FF_Flood Fill

 

Open blank 600x250 canvas

C/P tube

Mura's Meister_Copies_Feedback (linear) changing Shift X to 100 and Shift Y to 29

Duplicate

Mirror

Merge these feedback layers together

Adust_Blur-Motion Blur_265_100

Effects_Edge Effects_Enhance

Repeat Enhance

Effects_Texture Effects_Weave_1_15_1_Both boxes White

Duplicate

Simple_Pizza Slice Mirror

Blend Mode_Multiply

C/P tube

Text Tool_Raavi_12_White

Type "SWEET AS CANDY" or wording of choice

Convert to raster

Mura's Meister_Copies_Tiling (angle)_Change Tile Gap to 10

Move between the feedback layers

ANL to top

FF Black

Select All_Contract 2_Delete_Select none

Add all correct copyright/license information

Name_RaptureHeavenly_72_#9cb228

Add Noise_Gaussian 50

DS_2_5_50_5_Black

Save!!!

 

The example below has snow falling in it. To do this, open your snow animation of choice in psp. Lower the opacity of each layer to 30 (you may have to adjust this for your animation)

Save as a psp file...making sure to change the name so you do not save over the original animation file

Open it in AS

In PSP, close all except the 2 feedback and the wording layers

Copy Merged

AS

Paste As New Animation

Duplicate until you have the same number of frames as your animation

Click on animation

CTRL+A

CTRL+C

Click on tag

CTRL+A

CTRL+E

Click in tag to place snow

PSP

Close all open layers and open all closed layers

Copy Merged

AS

Paste As New Animation

Be sure the Propagate Paste button (looks like 3 pages of paper) iin the AS toolbar is clicked

CTRL+C

Click on top of tag

CTRL+E

Click in tag (if you do not move the mouse this layer will automatically be centered)

View Animation

If happy, save!!
