Vintage Love

 

This tutorial was written by me on October 07,0 2016 using my own ideas.

Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX6.

 

Supplies:

"The Flowers Fairy2" tube by Brooke Gillette - tube/license currently available at ADI

"Vintage" FTU scrap kit by Dreamland Designs

Masks 97 and 98 by Designs ByVaybs

 

 

Open blank 400x600 canvas

Apply Mask 97

C/P tube

Place so face is main part showing

Apply Mask 98

You want the face and upper body to show after the mask is applied. This may require you to undo and try again several times until the tube is placed just right.

Duplicate masked face layer 2 times (you should have 3 total) You want it to look like paint fading and chipping from an old portrait, so the number of duplicates will depend on the tube you use

Crop canvas to 400x600

Re-size this layer and the Mask 97 layer by 85%

Magic Wand_Click outside bottom FF layer

Highlight masked tube layer

Delete

Repeat delete on Mask 97 layer

Duplicate Mask 97

Select none

Text Tool_ Darrians Frames Two_500_stroke 2 Black_fill White_type "e"

Using nodes, stretch to fit

Magic Wand_Select the white part of frame

Selections_Modify_Select Color Range_20_20

Click inside the selected area of tag

(This will help select the small areas around the design)

Repeat Blast

Select None

Merge Blast layer down to Copper layer

Place to the top right

Duplicate

Mirror

Flip

Merge wire layers together

Move to bottom of layer pallette

C/P Brown Button_re-size so it fits nicely over the circle in the top left of the frame corner

Duplicate_Mirror_place over the circle in top right corner

Merge Buttons together

Duplicate

Image_Flip

Place over circles in bottom frame corners

Merge buttons together

Sharpen More 3 times

Adjust_Add Noise_Gaussian 45

Sharpen More_Place as shown

C/P Hanger 2_Sharpen More_Free Rotate Left 90_Place as shown

C/P Dress Form_Re-size and Place as shown

Selection Tool_Select any parts showing below the flowers_Delete_Select none

C/P Flower_Free Rotate_Right 65_Place as shown

Duplicate_Re-size 85%_mirror_place as shown

Duplicate_Re-size 85% twice_free rotate left 90_place below both flowers as shown

C/P Branches_Re-size and place between flowers_Sharpen More

Selection Tool_select the bottom stems of the branches

Selections_Modify_Feather 25

Hit delete 3 or 4 times to soften the branch ends

Duplicate_free rotate left 90_move to the left a little

DS Frame and all elements_0_0_65_10_Black

Text Tool_ Copper Alt Caps Expert_150_Black

Type "Love"

Place between top flower and branch

Selection Tool_Select the loop at the top of the "L"_Delete (This is optional. I did not like that loop over the tube.)
