This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX6.

Abbreviations:

DS_Drop Shadow

ANL_Add New Layer

EC_Eye Candy

GG_Gradient Glow

AS_Animation Shop

C/P_Copy and Paste

FF_Flood Fill

 

 

Open blank 600x250 canvas

 

FF Black

Effects_Texture Effects_Blinds_10_50_#ae3070_Both boxes checked

C/P tube_Do Not Move

Toadies_Bitches Crystal_37_39

Move down so face part of tube shows

Magic Wand_Click in the black area around tube

Selections_Modify_Feather_25

Hit delete a few times to soften the edges

Select none

Blend mode_Soft Light

Position to the left

 

Freehand Selection Tool_Point To Point

Draw peaks on the left side of canvas by the edge (See my tag for reference)

Duplicate_Mirror

Position copy on right edge of canvas

Merge the peak layers together

Duplicate twice

 

On bottom peak layer_Xero_Fritillary_5_30_10_20

Middle peak layer_ Xero_Fritillary_5_30_10_25

Top peak layer_ Xero_Fritillary_5_30_10_30

 

Magic Wand_Select the center empty area of bottom peak layer

Selections_Modify_Feather_25

Hit Delete 4 or 5 times

 

Highlight each of the other two peak layers and repeat hitting delete 4 or 5 times

We just want to soften the edges

Select none

DS each layer_0_0_100_1)_Black

Hide middle and bottom layers for new

 

C/P Word Art

Re-color to match your tag

Position as shown, moving down so it's below the end peak layers

 

C/P tube placing to the right

Select All_Contract 3_Delete_Select none

Add Noise_Gaussian 50

Add all correct copyright/license information

Copy merged

AS_Paste As New Animation

 

PSP_Close top peak layer and open middle peak layer

Copy Merged

AS_Paste After Current Frame

 

PSP_Repeat middle peak layer steps
