Deep Purple

This tutorial was written by me on June 26, 2013, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

Supplies:

“Bloodrose” by Jessica Allain – tube/license available at ADI

“Chained To The Pain Sampler” FTU scrap kit by Gothic Inspirations

Template 9 by Yvette of Essence of Creativity

Mask 21 by Gems Taggin’ Scraps

Eye Candy 4000_Gradient Glow

Eye Candy 5_Perspective Shadow

Font_Morpheus

Abbreviations:

EC = Eye Candy

GG = Gradient Glow

DS = Drop Shadow

C/P = Copy and Paste

FF = Flood Fill

ANL = Add New Layer

AS = Animation Shop

Open template_shift+D_close original

After each step, close/delete original template layer

Starting at bottom of palette:

ANL_Select all_C/P paper 5 into selection_select none_Apply Mask_ Noise 50

Repeat above using paper 9_opacity 65

Dotted Line_Select all_float_defloat

Highlight FF layer_Promote selection to layer_Select none

Noise_100

C/P Glitter_Sharpen

Large Circle

Select_ANL_C/P paper 7 as new layer_invert_Delete_Select none

Select_ANL_C/P paper 6 into selection

C/P close up of tube placing where you like

Invert_delete

Select none

Blend mode Overlay_Opacity 55

Large Photo Frame

EC 4000_HSB Noise_Default

Noise_100

Small Photos

Repeat steps for each square

Select_Position tube so part you like shows_Promote to layer_Select none

When all 4 are filled, merge tube layers together

Blend mode_Multiply

Small Frames

EC 4000_GG_Same settings as before

Sharpen

C/P tube placing as shown and deleting any parts you don’t want

EC 5_Perspective Shadow_Drop Shadow_55_12.21_65_66.61_Black

C/P any elements you like placing as shown. I used the following:

Candles

Glass Flower

Hearts

Hinge

Spill

Wax

DS Small Frames, Large Circle, Large Frame, and all except glitter_0_0_100_10_Black

Add all correct copyright/license information

Name_ Morpheus_100_Stroke 1 #d1aadb_Fill Black

DS_2_5_100_5_Black

Forum Siggy

Make a custom selection_L:0_T:0_R:600_B:250

ANL_FF Black

Send to bottom

Position layers from tag to your liking on the colored area (this will be your finished sig)

Once you have everything placed, highlight Black layer_Crop to layer opaque

ANL at top of palette_FF Black

Select all_Contract 3_Delete_Select none

Repeat GG from earlier

DS_0_0_100_10_Black

Add all correct copyright/license information

Name_same settings as for tag

Save!
