Holiday Dancin’

 This tutorial was written by me on November 09, 2013, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

Abbreviations:

EC = Eye Candy

GG = Gradient Glow

DS = Drop Shadow

C/P = Copy and Paste

FF = Flood Fill

ANL = Add New Layer

 AS = Animation Shop

Open blank 600x300 canvas

ANL_Select All_C/P paper 10 into selection_Select None

ANL_ make a custom selection:

 FF with a green gradient

Effects_Distortion Effects_Pixelate_15

Effects_Texture Effects_Fine Leather:

Blend mode_Luminance (legacy)

C/P the following elements, duplicating, mirroring, placing as shown, applying effects as listed:

Decs3_Opacity 70

Holly Tree

Duplicate paper background layer

Move to top

Select All_Contract_3_Delete

Select none

Duplicate

On original_Blur_Gaussian Blur_5

C/P tube

Place to right of tag

Duplicate

On original_Blur_Gaussian Blur_10

Xero_Fritillary:

On duplicate_EC5_Impact_Perspective Shadow_Drop Shadow, Low

DS all other layers_0_0_60_30_Black

ANL to top

Duplicate twice

Highlight top layer

Picture Tube Tool_Sparkle_size 20

Add a sparkle on the first bead of the tree, skip 2, add another sparkle

Repeat to end of bead rope

Repeat for each of the next 2 blank layers, adding sparkles on the next bead in line

Close the 2 bottom sparkle layers

Add all correct copyright/license information

Animating:

Copy Merged

AS_Paste as new image

Back to PSP_Close top sparkle layer and open 2^nd

Copy merged
AS_Paste after current frame

Repeat for last sparkle layer

Save!!!

Position stripe as shown and change blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Select all_C/P paper 10 into selection

Contract by 3_Delete_Select none

C/P Tree, resizing to fit
