FTU - Legends*

Legends

 

 This tutorial was written by me on May 24, 2012, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

As always, tutorials are only a guideline. If you don't have the exact supplies, use ones you have or ones you choose.

Supplies:

Tube of choice – I used an awesome tube by KiwifireStorm called “ElvisMarilyn” – this tube was a bonus tube from The PSP Project

Do not use this same tube without the proper license

“Dark Reflections” FTU scrap kit by Ladyhawwk Designs

Mask of choice – I chose Gems Mask 129

Font of choice – This name is done in “Chocolate Box”

Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

To save time, I use these abbreviations:

C/P = copy and paste

DS = drop shadow

Open a new blank 600x600 image in psp

Choose two colors from your tube – I chose #232841 and #363a25 from the scrap kit

In color palette, go to Gradient and choose Foreground/Background_angle 45_repeats 4_Linear

Add new layer on image and flood fill with gradient

Open mask in psp

Layers – New Mask Layer – From Image – choose your mask in drop down list

Right click mask layer in layer palette – Merge – Merge Group

C/P the 2 frames from the kit as new layers

Resize – sharpen – arrange as shown

Using magic wand, click inside blue frame

Selections – Modify – Expand_4

Add new layer below frame

Flood fill with #363a25

C/P Elvis a as a new layer and arrange to your liking

Right click Elvis in layer palette – promote selection to layer

Select none

Delete original tube

Repeat with Gold frame,  flood filling with  #232841 and using the Marilyn tube

C/P element 8 as new layer

Place at bottom of gold frame

Duplicate – Image – Mirror

Image – Flip and place at top of blue frame

C/P elements 40 and 41 resizing and placing as shown

Image – Sharpen – Sharpen More twice

C/P word art as new layer

Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow_3_25_100_#363a25

Image – Sharpen – Sharpen More twice

Place at top left

Add all correct copyright information

Add your name – Chocolate Box_72_Black

Repeat the Gradient Glow and sharpen more twice

DS – Frames/Elements_0_0_100_10_Black

Word Art and name_2_-5_50_5_Black

That’s it, you’re done
